Mammals
Mammals are warm blooded vertebrate animals, they are
distinguished by the possession of hair/fur, the secretion of milk by female for
their young, and typically give birth to live young. Mammals are sometimes
divided into 3 groups, live young, marsupials, and egg-laying. Mammals live in a
lot of different environments including the ocean, underground and on land. The
largest mammals is the blue whale, it can grow to over 80ft long. The smallest
is the Kitti Hog-Nosed bat, it is 1.2in long and weighs less than ½ pound.
